Montréal (Ahuntsic)

Ahuntsic is a neighbourhood in Montreal, Canada. It is located in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough. The reference neighbourhoods Sault-au-Récollet, Saint-Sulpice, Nicolas-Viel and La Visitation are part of this sociological neighbourhood.

In 1914, the western boundary of the sociological neighbourhood was the grounds of the Bordeaux detention centre, from Rivière des Prairies to Fleury Street. The boundary then followed an approximate diagonal to the future location of Tolhurst Park, then down Meunier Street to Sauvé Street. At the time, the latter was called Lamarche Avenue between Meunier and Laverdure Streets. The boundary of the neighbourhood then ran along Lamarche and Sauvé Streets to Saint-Charles Avenue, then followed the latter north to Rivière des Prairies.
